It is a summer town on the north of Alanya that is far away 30 – 35 km from city on the Toros Mountain by reaching sharp bend into the pine trees. During the period of Karamanoğulları it was known as Hurşitler Neighbourhood that belongs to village Mahmutseydi.
Derekoy consists of small settlements which are surrounded by mountains and on the shoulders. In the middle of it where Kargı River comes from there, Trout is grown up here. Grape, fig, grape molasses and dried layers of fruit pulp are favourite fruits in village. In summer season, population increases.
